Residence under this program requires a minimum €250,000 investment in Maltese stocks and shares for a period of 5 years, and a €30,000 non-refundable contribution with an additional property investment between €50,000-€320,000. Residency cards are issued for 5 years and are renewable indefinitely provided the investor maintains a Maltese address.

In order to apply you must:

  • have health insurance, covering you and your dependents both within Malta and throughout all of the EU;
  • have either an annual income of no less than €100,000 outside of Malta,

The main applicant may also add dependents to a residency application, including his/her spouse, dependent children, as well as parents or grandparents of the main applicant and their spouse/partner.

2. Prepare Documents and Submit Biometrics

A detailed checklist will be provided, and you will be guided through the documents collection stage. Experienced immigration advisers will be preparing all the required documents along with the residency application, checking a scan of each document for compliance to ensure all requirements are met, including proof of investment documentation. While visiting Malta you will be required to submit biometrics.

4. Processing of Application and Receipt Confirming Submission

Once approval of the application has been acquired, MRVA will send the confirmation of formal validity.

3. Submit Residency Application

The complete application, along with all supporting documentation, will be submitted to MRVA (Malta Residency and Visa Agency).

6. Receive a Residence Permit

Applicants will receive a certificate valid indefinitely and a residence card valid for 5 years and renewable every 5-years.
